Paverpol Products

Paverpol is a new product which is quickly becoming a medium of choice for many US artists. It was developed for use in making large outdoor sculptures and has been a favorite medium of European sculptors and artists for over a decade.

This environmentally-friendly, water based hardener is non-toxic and harmless to people, plants and animals.

Clean up is with soap and water!

Paverpol holds fabric-drapes and folds in a freeze motion. the treated materials turn rock-hard and can be used indoors or outside. It can also be used with paper, silk, chamois, leather, air dry and polymer clay, paper mache, dried flowes, wood, plaster, concrete, potter, stone, etc. It can be used in mixed-media projects, on canvas and over styrofoam. It will adhere to almost all materials except plastic.

Patterned fabrics retain their original brightness! Some Paverpol tips

Paverpol cannot be shipped during freezing temperatures. Please plan your purchase accordingly.

Paverpol may become soft in heat. Always frame your sculpts or other big works of art. Use chicken wire, metal wire, wooden sticks etc. When the weather cools down, the Paverpol becomes solid again. Because of the frame or armature, the structures do not slump. When shipping sculpts, support all areas with tissue.

If you sell/gift/ship your sculpts please apply these simple rules............Be sure the Paverpol is applied evenly to your fabrics. Make sure your base/foundation/armature is strong before applying the fabrics dipped in Paverpol. Any free form dipped fabrics MUST have a sound foundation as well. Wrap your sculpt in tissue vs. plastic or bubble wrap and reinforce the delicate areas with tissue so if the heat does effect the original form there is a cushion holding the shape and once cool it will harden in it's original form.

Paverpol Translucent

Dip natural materials into Paverpol, drape or wrap the material around a wire figure or other armature and leave it to dry. Dries fast but slowly enough to allow you plenty of working time. After it has hardened, you have created a beautiful decoration or sculpture. Which can be used indoors or outdoors. Finished projects become rock hard without any additions. Outdoor garden objects do not need to be varnished unless theyare painted with acrylic paints. Easy clean up with warm water.

Mix the Paverpol with the same amount of Art Stone Decoration Powder until the clay is one lump that no longer sticks to your hands.

Paverpol Art Stone

Cover your form completely with the Art Stone clay. Put the clay fully or partially onto the layer that is still wet—layer thick or thin, coarse or fine, whatever you like. Make sure that the bottom layer is wet. (If needed, apply a new layer of Paverpol using the brush.) When your work is fully or partially decorated with the clay, scatter some powder over it and rub it in well. Apply some Paverpol with a brush if the base has become too dry.
